Just been rooting around in the archives...

As of the 26th of April this year, I have been blogging for a whole year (and almost a month). Wow! In some ways, it doesn't seem like a year, but then I look at the archives -- 325 entries; nothing to sniff at! -- and I realize it *has* been a year! I've gone through two different weblogs before I got this one: I was on xanga.com for a little while, but unless you paid an arm and a leg for that one, they wouldn't let anyone else but other xanga.com members read it. Then I tried blogger.com for a while, but for some inexplicable reason, it kept eating my archives! (Nothing unusual: "Tom" at www.matrixessays.com had the same problem, so he switched to a completely different server)

Sooo... I remember finding my pal "Sapphire Rose" 's diary (Hi there, Lynn!!!) on her fanfiction.net profile page, so I started reading that avidly (I still do!), and I fell in love with that site, so I just *had* to get myself a diaryland.com diary...

And the rest they say, is history...

What's happened in a year? The fifth "Harry Potter" novel came out. The "Lord of the Rings" and the "Matrix" movie trilogys were completed. America went to war to free Iraq. Saddam "the Sadist" Hussein was captured. I finally got a job. I got into a role-playing game inspired by the movie "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence" and also started writing a novel that stands a good chance of getting published. My dad's boyhood dream of tagging/cutting Christmas trees in New Brunswick, Canada was fulfilled. ...Pretty busy year!
