My computer is now a doorstop, thanks to some killer adware squiddies from HELL!!! I was chatting with Laurie last night when this weird pop-up toolbar suddenly popped up on my desktop and I couldn't get rid of it. Not when I ran the spyware killing software. Not when I downloaded a new version of the same software. Nope, now Windows doesn't even want to shut down properly on my computer, that spyware has buggered it so badly.
AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I'll have to have the OS reloaded. And wouldn't you know, but Gateway no longer has any stores, anywhere. The hardware is still in decent shape, this is just a software problem. Give it a year or two more, maybe I'll get the Macintosh I keep talking about getting. It doesn't catch spyware bugs, and it's immune to Windoze viruses.
Thus, if I don't update for a while, it means my computer is in the shop getting fixed.
