"Lights Out... Everyone.... It... Is... Later... Than... You... Think...."

That was the tagline for an old sci-fi/horror radio show from back in the 1940s, spoken by a creepy-voiced guy named Arch Obeler...

I'd just finished updating my spyware debugging software, and I'd killed another crop of bugs when the light in the computer room goes out by itself. So I yelled down to my mother, who said something to my dad, who came up and started twiddling with the light, then went down to the basement and twiddled with the circuit breaker... and the only thing he suceeded in doing was knock out the power to the socket where the computer was plugged in! Arrrgggghhhh!!!

It looks like we'll have to have an electrician come in and take a look at it. My mother suspects a mouse may have chewed through the wires, but I doubt that: I just think it's this ancient wiring in this house, something just burned out or got itself loose.
