I'm saying good night to my mother... when suddenly a bird starts fluttering at the window! At first we thought it was a bat, and then I thought it was someone's escaped cockatiel since the shadow looked a lot like my bird's shadow... but then I got a good look at it, and found it was a female cardinal bird. We suspect she thought the lamplight in the window was the sunlight. So I pulled the shade so she wouldn't hurt herself flapping around. First time *that's* ever happened! We suspect this bird has a nest somewhere near the house, since we've seen this bird and a male bird outside a lot lately...
